[ See, it all begins when he realizes that some of the animals could have very much run off during the earthquake. He and Cissnei (and others? He's not really sure ...) caught a large majority of them, but given that Green's about 90% sure that the CDC is actually a space zoo, there's always going to be more.

Always.

So that's how he's in the forest, navigating through the thick foliage to see if any ... non-native animals are around. Worst case scenario he runs into some Neraki tribes, which he's hoping Arcanine would at least be able to run away from, best case scenario he actually does find some terrified pet that he can take back to camp. Or lead back anyway, since he's pretty sure that showing up with someone else's creature is ... weird. He doesn't exactly want to be labelled as weird (too late, Green).

At least it's quiet, aside from the occasional rustle of leaves and the steps that he and his partner take. Nothing grossly out of the ordinary, for him to raise his guard anymore than necessary. There also aren't very many animals however, and the teen's starting to wonder if this adventure was all in vain, if he's just wasting his time . . .

Then the noises begin. Arcanine, as always, turns before Green to the source of the sound, body crouched low and teeth bared. He's ready to pounce just as Green turns as well, muscles tense -- he's pretty sure it's the first time hearing anything like this. What kind of strange creature lives on this planet that he hasn't seen before?

He holds out a hand to the canine, stopping him from attacking, more intent on figuring out what it is before figuring out how he can fend them from it. He doesn't activate his juggernaut, not yet, but it's at the ready; slowly he takes the steps, ready for just about anything - it looks like the sounds coming from just beyond this bush...?

And precisely when he spots Red, he's not really sure if he should be laughing or be concerned that the kid's already gone insane. The former ends up winning out though, starting with a too-amused snort before it erupts into full-blown laughter. It's been a while since he's found anything this funny (everyone's jokes suck), so he's just going to capitalize on this opportunity --

Because well, guess how ridiculous you look right now, Red. ]
