[ It’s a strange system, different from anything he knows. The more so because it seems the pokemon are complicit in it, to an extent. That’s what’d most surprising of all. ]

What is the goal, then, why do you do all of this? I imagine it’s something to do with the abilities they learn, that you spoke of before?

Also, Green is making him more curious rather than less. That may or may not be a good thing. ]

The issue of strength makes sense, actually. I didn't know there were different types.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
But what does that have to do with making them listen to you? Surely a cage alone is not enough to tame any wild beast. Even a very powerful one.

Doesn't mean Green's going to show Sturmhond anything though, this is slowly starting to become a bad idea.... ]
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
you have no idea
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
a pokemon being caught means that youve shown your worth as a trainer
they respect you enough to work with you its up to you to befriend them and gain their trust
at the same time if youre given a pokemon by someone else and theyre too strong for you they wont listen
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
but the master ball lets the pokemon submit regardless
though im pretty sure if theyre still given the pokemon by someone else they wont listen to the new trainer since theyre not the original

So you also trade them, after you capture them.

trade sometimes give it depends
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
that also depends
some people just need the company others need help with their jobs only pokemon can do
some use the abilities yeah to battle them and get them stronger
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
but really theres no goal, not something everyone in the world relates to
we just want to live alongside each other happily

While the humans live normally, I'm assuming, and the pokemon get captured in balls.
[ It doesn't exactly seem fair. Not that he's in any place to judge, of course. It's not his world. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
Well, it's an interesting system. For a man who didn't want to talk about it, you were very informative, Green.

i mean pokemon jump out and attack humans anywhere thats not civilized if were arguing things are one sided...
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
yeah well its not like youll get to see it anytime soon
no subject
I wouldn't argue any such thing, of course.
[ He'll imply it all day long, and you can take what you like from it instead. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
How long have you been capturing them?
no subject
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
i prefer the term training them
considering its my job and all
hard to say since i was young

It's a lucky man who has a job to match his hobbies. The CDC must be something of a change of pace for you, in that case.

you destroy worlds for a living
have you heard of these guys
no subject
I do. But that, of course, makes two of us.
And besides, they pay exceedingly well.
ah yes accidentally misunderstanding tags at night, go me

what are you getting out of this
no subject
Enough. Believe me, I don't come cheap.
no subject
???????
did u know about this before they brought you here
no subject
Not until the day they recruited me. But they were honest, if that's what you mean. I know they're not with everyone.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
Did you think you were saying yes to something else?

also doesnt teach you anything new about anything so
pass [ it wasn't one of his finer moments, let's just say. ]

You aren't the only one. I'm sorry, I don't imagine that's been easy for you to deal with.
no subject
???? why are you apologizing
you dont even know what i went through [ Sturmhond why are you being so nice all of a sudden??? ]
no subject
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
I wasn't apologising, I was sympathising.
What did happen to you, Oak?
no subject
doesnt matter its close enough
???? what kind of question is that
if youre asking how i got recruited dont bother
no subject
Why not? It seemed as though you might want to.
no subject
no
not even a little
no subject
All right, then. Forget I asked.
