[Far from coincidental, and what's more? She's peeping her head from around the corner just a few paces away, Najasho perched on her shoulder and buzzing curiously at the sight of Green (he loves meeting new people).
She herself looks about a quarter embarrassed and one half guilty. She always feels guilty every time she interacts with him, to the point where she feels self-conscious. In fact, her tone is rather stiff as she says while averting her eyes slightly:]
I...need a bit of a hand...carrying some things.
[When she finally steps out her bag is slung over one shoulder, filled with clothing, towels, miscellaneous toiletries left over from Macha, her nanite gun, and a few foodstuffs and water bottles ganked from Medical post-30 Seconds of Death. Perched crossways on her lower back are two swords: the broadsword she got from Dagger, and Kiri-Ichimonji, a rather nasty-looking katana currently sheathed in a fairly ornate scabbard.
At her feet are several hardbound books---all Shakespeare, having once belonged to one Nicolas Brown. She sighs.]
[ Green almost drops the duffle bag in his hand. Key word being almost, because the stupid thing is empty anyway ( it's what happens when someone decides to carry everything in his hand and not in the bag ).
But ah yes, it looks like someone is trying to move half their belongings across the ship, and standing in the middle of it all is definitely the person trying to look for him. Who, coincidentally, he probably has the strangest relationship on the Neheda with. And he's not really sure why, either.
Well, there was the whole interrogation, then the awkward cuddling, then the misfire texts, then ...
Okay, so maybe he does. ]
-- Yeah, I could see that. [ His eyebrows naturally furrow, ( finally ) dropping the items into his duffle bag so that he can cross his arms ( priorities ). ] Are you planning to move in to the pitstop, or something?
[Ohhhhh now what was that about priorities? Tsk, tsk, Green. Although, admittedly, Akame has issues with sorting those out herself (as can be seen here), so. There's no judgment to be had here.
And she tries not to look back on any of those experiences she's shared with him thus far, because she knows he wasn't too thrilled to be stuck with her. It's just funny that them facing the kraken was them at their least awkward, but she still wants to make amends---she just doesn't know how.]
Well... [Akame scratches her cheek, prompting Najasho to do the same as she proceeds to look vaguely sheepish.] ...No. I've only taken what I've deemed necessary, but...these books belonged to a friend of mine.
[Her gaze lowers as she crouches to pick up a few of them.]
He would want me to read them, and I didn't have much time on Macha.
[ At least his stuff didn't fall on the floor, geez.
Green's stuck at the door way now though, caught between helping her out and watching her as she picks up those books. Neither options make him look particularly great, so he's going to achieve the ( pointless ) middle ground that involves the boy stepping out into the hallway properly. A pause, then -- ]
... So you're bringing them to read? [ A moment as he digests that. ] All of them?
[ There's a tone of disbelief in his voice that's less "really?" and more "if you say yes I can't believe you think this is a good idea". ]
best trainwreck in show tbh

At least I lasted through half of the hallway.
sage nods

quiet, hollow laughter
