[She takes that as a good sign, and really she'd offer it to get closer if it wanted, she's familiar enough with how animals work to know it helps them feel comfortable. It's why she doesn't throw herself at Arcanine and instead just steps forward to press her nose close to the firedoge's, a gentle smile on her face all the while, and moves her hands up to pet it's head and gently scatch behind it's ears.]
You're so well behaved...
[It's a soft murmur before she rubs her cheek against it's face. Look, she grew up in an area with animals, this is natural........ to her..........]
[ The proximity is alarming, at first -- Arcanine pauses noticeably, his entire body tensing as he prepares himself for whatever is to come.
What he doesn't expect is a scratch, and a small murmur directed for him. He doesn't quite understand, but from the tone it sounds positive -- but the scratch is the focal point here. Green looks on mostly concerned, but then this strange girl's also ... slowly starting to be a little entertaining...
Slowly, Arcanine's tail starts wagging despite himself, from all the attention he's receiving. He doesn't make any noticeable moves to display his happiness, but he's at least much more relaxed than their initial meeting -- ]
[A soft laugh follows and while she can't exactly see Arcanine's tail, she can feel it in the shifts of it's body.]
You're so warm. [She's so happy as she nuzzles the doge, scratching it's ears and neck gently. She rubs over fur, sliding her fingers up and down the top of it's spine to make sure it's thoroughly cuddled.]
At least in Arcanine's eyes - the canine's thinking maybe, just maybe this isn't a bad idea in the slightest, because someone who gives scratches like this can't possibly think of harming him or his trainer, right?
He responds with a grunt of sorts, gently nudging her face with his snout. ]
[A laugh bubbles up before she can help itself, and there's no ill intention there at all, just pure happiness when Arcanine returns the affectionate face nuzzles. Her nose rubs against it's fur before she leans closer to give it a proper hug. It's not tight, and her fingers are still rubbing gently through fur. Her body seems to relax more too, utterly lost in the moment.
Cuddles should always be this warm, it's incredible.]
[ And in between the girl and the canine, there's still the trainer that looks at the two with a strange kind of dissatisfaction. Mostly because Arcanine's a complete traitor, cuddling in public with a stranger like that, but also because he should actually get around to exploring the rest of the ship -- and the girl's getting in the way.
So Green clears his throat, more to get attention than anything, crossing his arms across his chest. ] If you're done, we've got places to be.
[ Arcanine perks up, staring at his trainer with curious eyes, as if to ask, we do? ]
-- [ He looks far from amused, letting out a small huff - but hey, he brought this upon himself. Waiting a "moment" wouldn't hurt, right? Arcanine seems to return quickly enough to receiving all that attention he's getting, so maybe this isn't such a bad idea...
Only the "moment" turns into well over a minute of silence for Green, and he can't help but have the annoyance spill into his voice. ] Hey.
[ He whistles sharply, getting Arcanine's attention properly again -- there's a pause, and the beast slowly lumbers over back to Green's side. ] We have to go. [ He might be glaring daggers at Sasha. ]
My name's Green. [ The thank you doesn't deserve a response unfortunately, and the boy decides to begin slowly walking out of the strange container, through the door.
... Nevermind what her name is, apparently. It's not like he's ever going to see her again (about that...) ]
