[ He's appalled at you right now. How do you think of putting humans in this that's inhumane. ]
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
you dont just shove people into pokeballs it doesnt work like that
also i heard pokeballs are pretty comfortable not sure if you wanna put criminals in there
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
yeah just pokemon hence the poke part in the pokeballs
theres different type of pokeballs that work in different situations but you need to understand that none of them can capture a wild pokemon without fail
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
usually you use one of your pokemon to weaken the wild one and then capture it with a pokeball but the stronger the pokemon is the less likely theyll stay in the pokeball long enough to be captured
regular pokeballs cant hold stronger pokemon and it makes legendary pokemon impossible to capture basically
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
a master ball never fails in comparison you can capture anything with it and the pokemon will listen to you
[ It’s a strange system, different from anything he knows. The more so because it seems the pokemon are complicit in it, to an extent. That’s what’d most surprising of all. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
What is the goal, then, why do you do all of this? I imagine it’s something to do with the abilities they learn, that you spoke of before?

What happened to your Arcanine while you were asleep?
[ Priorities. ]
no subject
hes fine if thats what ur asking
he was in his pokeball in the entire time [ thanks for caring, Sturmhond. ]
no subject
I was simply curious. It's not a system I've ever seen before.
no subject
well i dont think youd really need it unless you needed to transport giant creatures around would you??
its not a system people like to talk about out in the open
about how it works i mean
the last attempt didnt go too well
no subject
I don't know. I can think of quite a number of creatures I'd like to hide away in something like that.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
If its just a system, what's the problem with talking about it?
no subject
sry dont have extras
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
guess a better word for it would be the technology used
how its made
couple of years ago a company made a pokeball that could theoretically catch anything in the world without failure
so a bunch of people put an entire city on lockdown to get it for themselves
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
they were stopped but you can see why people dont pry about this
no subject
Yes, I suppose I can. Any new innovation carries a danger with it. I can understand your wariness.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
You were afraid they would use them on humans, presumably.
no subject
???????????????? we cant use these on humans
theres no benefit to using these on humans either how did you even think of that
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
its cause some pokemon are dangerous enough that if theyre captured and used for someones gain, they have enough power to destroy the world
how do you think of capturing humans
no subject
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
Jails are easily overcrowded. They would make a good solution.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
But if I'm understanding you correctly, then when you said the balls could capture anything, you just meant any pokemon?
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
Why all the excitement, then, when you already have balls that capture those creatures?
no subject
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org

Also, Green is making him more curious rather than less. That may or may not be a good thing. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
The issue of strength makes sense, actually. I didn't know there were different types.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
But what does that have to do with making them listen to you? Surely a cage alone is not enough to tame any wild beast. Even a very powerful one.
no subject
Doesn't mean Green's going to show Sturmhond anything though, this is slowly starting to become a bad idea.... ]
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
you have no idea
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
a pokemon being caught means that youve shown your worth as a trainer
they respect you enough to work with you its up to you to befriend them and gain their trust
at the same time if youre given a pokemon by someone else and theyre too strong for you they wont listen
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
but the master ball lets the pokemon submit regardless
though im pretty sure if theyre still given the pokemon by someone else they wont listen to the new trainer since theyre not the original
no subject
So you also trade them, after you capture them.

trade sometimes give it depends
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
that also depends
some people just need the company others need help with their jobs only pokemon can do
some use the abilities yeah to battle them and get them stronger
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
but really theres no goal, not something everyone in the world relates to
we just want to live alongside each other happily
no subject
While the humans live normally, I'm assuming, and the pokemon get captured in balls.
[ It doesn't exactly seem fair. Not that he's in any place to judge, of course. It's not his world. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
Well, it's an interesting system. For a man who didn't want to talk about it, you were very informative, Green.
no subject
i mean pokemon jump out and attack humans anywhere thats not civilized if were arguing things are one sided...
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
yeah well its not like youll get to see it anytime soon
no subject
I wouldn't argue any such thing, of course.
[ He'll imply it all day long, and you can take what you like from it instead. ]
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
How long have you been capturing them?
no subject
FROM: oak.green@cdc.org
i prefer the term training them
considering its my job and all
hard to say since i was young
no subject
It's a lucky man who has a job to match his hobbies. The CDC must be something of a change of pace for you, in that case.
no subject
you destroy worlds for a living
have you heard of these guys
no subject
I do. But that, of course, makes two of us.
And besides, they pay exceedingly well.
ah yes accidentally misunderstanding tags at night, go me
pay????
what are you getting out of this
no subject
Enough. Believe me, I don't come cheap.
no subject
???????
did u know about this before they brought you here
no subject
Not until the day they recruited me. But they were honest, if that's what you mean. I know they're not with everyone.
FROM: sturmhond@cdc.org
